High Protein Spicy Chicken Burgers

These lean and healthy chicken burgers are spiced up with smoky, chipotle to get your tastebuds tingling.
And nothing goes better with a burger than a side of spicy sweet potato fries.

INGREDIENTS
For the spicy chicken burger:
• 450g ground chicken breast
• 2 teaspoons grated onion
• 1 teaspoon chopped chipotle peppers in hot sauce
• 1 teaspoon ground cumin
• 1/4 teaspoon salt
• 1 large egg white
• 1 teaspoon olive or canola oil
• 4 whole-grain slider buns, split and toasted (if desired)
• 4 lettuce slices
• 4 tomato slices
 
For the sweet potato fries:
• 2 medium sweet potatoes
• 1 teaspoon olive oil
• 1 teaspoon chili powder
 
 
STEP BY STEP
For the spicy chicken burger:
1) Combine chicken, onion, chipotle, cumin, salt and egg white in a medium bowl and mix well with your hands. Shape into 4 patties.
2️) Heat oil in a large nonstick skillet over medium-high heat, swirling to coat bottom. Add burgers and cook 4–5 minutes on each side or until completely cooked. Serve between buns with lettuce and tomato.
 
For the sweet potato fries:
1) Peel sweet potatoes and cut into 1.5 cm thick wedges. (Cut pieces to same size for even cooking.) .
2) Toss in oil and chili powder. Spread on nonstick baking sheet or baking sheet lined with nonstick aluminum foil.
3) Bake, turning once, for 30–35 minutes or until crisp and golden brown.
