Junk Food

Posted by Beni Cook

Often, I have heard people justify eating “that chocolate bar” or whatever junk food it was because they needed energy.

– Firstly, there is nothing wrong with eating some junk food. There is no need to justify it. The problem is with how much junk food we eat.

– Secondly, we already have plenty of stored energy throughout our bodies. Glycogen is stored in our liver and muscles, plus body fat can provide a tremendous amount of energy.

If you are tired and feeling like you need energy, you most likely need more sleep or perhaps just some more water.

And if you are going to eat something delicious that provides little nourishment, do so for the enjoyment, not for the energy.
